Mohammed M Hafez, PhD (born 1970), is a specialist on foreign fighters and suicide bombers. He is the author of ''Suicide Bombers in Iraq: The Strategy and Ideology of Martyrdom''. Previously, he wrote ''Why Muslims Rebel'' and ''Manufacturing Human Bombs''. He received his PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science studying under Fred Halliday.
